Darcie Argentina, CVT, Veterinary Sonographer
Darcie is a student at The University of Arizona’s College of Veterinary Medicine and brings over 30 years of experience as a veterinary professional. As a veterinary technician, she focused primarily on diagnostic imaging in specialty medicine, assisting with advanced procedures such as endoscopy, rhinoscopy, thoracoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, cystoscopy, ultrasonography, and echocardiography.
In 2005, Darcie had the honor of training in one of the most advanced technical disciplines available to veterinary technicians. She completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and earned a Certificate of Completion in Advanced Imaging from the Academy of Veterinary Imaging. During her training and beyond, she was mentored by veterinary radiologists, internists, and oncologists—an experience she describes as invaluable, providing hands-on instruction, immediate feedback, and confirmation that shaped her expertise.
Her dedication and skill later led to an invitation to teach at the same academy where she trained, sharing her knowledge and helping other technicians refine their imaging expertise. Darcie continues to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine by attending annual conferences and seminars through the ACVR and is an active member of their Veterinary Ultrasound Society.
In 2016, she launched a highly successful mobile veterinary ultrasound business serving Tucson and the surrounding areas. Her current goals are to graduate from veterinary school, become a board-certified veterinary radiologist, and elevate her small business to an entirely new level and advance the quality in veterinary imaging in Tucson, Arizona.
Outside of work, Darcie enjoys exploring the open road on her motorcycle, walking wilderness trails with her dogs, and enjoying quiet snuggle time with her cats—always alongside her husband Dave, her best friend and greatest supporter.

Dr. Lindsey Smogor, DVM
Dr. Lindsey Smogor’s journey into veterinary medicine began on a dude ranch just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she grew up surrounded by horses and the daily workings of her family’s business. This unique upbringing nurtured both her love for equine medicine and her early interest in entrepreneurship, two passions that would ultimately shape her career.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, before pursuing her veterinary education starting at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, ultimately transferring to Oklahoma State University, where she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. During her time in Oklahoma, she also attended the Oklahoma Horsehoeing School in Ardmore. Understanding the essential partnership between farriers and veterinarians, she sought advanced farriery knowledge to better support the horses in her care, a skillset that continues to enhance her clinical practice today.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Smogor completed an internship at Arizona Equine Surgical and Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. In 2014, she launched a mobile ambulatory practice in Tucson (Jackpot Equine). What began as an ambulatory equine operation has since grown into a thriving mixed-animal practice and a referral hub for equine cases, expanding surgical options and elevating the standard of equine care available to the Tucson community.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Smogor treasures time spent with her husband, daughter, and the many furry critters who share their home. Whether she is in the field, in the clinic, or enjoying family time, her dedication to animals and the people who love them remains at the heart of everything she does.
